Kramer Levin Advises Focus Financial on Kovitz Investment Acquisition of AFAM Capital
On Aug. 28, 2018, Kramer Levin client Focus Financial Partners Inc. announced that AFAM Capital has entered into a definitive agreement to join Kovitz Investment Group. Focus Financial is a leading partnership of independent, fiduciary wealth management firms. AFAM Capital is a leading investment management firm and publisher of the highly rated newsletter, “The Prudent Speculator.” Kovitz provides investment and wealth management solutions to high net worth individuals, institutions and private funds. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018. Kramer Levin served as regulatory counsel to Focus Financial on the transaction.
