Kramer Levin Advises White Mountains Insurance in Acquisition of Plans’ Liability Insurance Co.
On Dec. 9, 2019, Kramer Levin client White Mountains Insurance Group completed its acquisition of Plans’ Liability Insurance Company, an Ohio-domiciled insurer (PLIC). PLIC had previously been owned by the Blue Cross Blue Shield companies, which had used it historically to write D&O liability plans for the Blue Cross family. In addition to advising White Mountains on all other aspects of the purchase, Kramer Levin obtained Ohio insurance regulatory approval for the transaction.
