Kramer Levin & Naftalis LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew S. Dunn has been appointed to co-chair the law firm’s Immigration department and Cheryl E. Hader has been appointed to chair the Individual Clients department.

Last week, Kramer Levin announced that Dani R. James was appointed co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations practice.

Dunn is well-versed in the complex framework of immigration laws and policies in the United States. He advises a diverse group of clients, including banks, global financial services companies, technology and business consultancies, advertising agencies, health care institutions, and sports and entertainment organizations in the hiring, transfer and retention of foreign national executives, managers, professionals, athletes and performing artists.

“Matt is an excellent immigration lawyer who is deeply committed to our clients and our team,” said his Immigration department co-chair, Mark D. Koestler. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with him and to benefiting from his insight in his new leadership role.”

Dunn holds a B.S. from Cornell University and received a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Hader focuses her practice on domestic and international estate planning, probate, estate and trust administration, prenuptial matters, and charitable planning and counseling, including the creation and administration of charitable organizations. In addition, Hader advises clients on gift and income tax planning in connection with closely held business interests, commercial real estate, private equity funds, hedge funds, and the disposition and administration of intellectual property rights. Hader also counsels clients in connection with will contests and estate and trust litigation.

Hader said, “I am excited about the opportunity to lead Kramer Levin’s Individual Clients practice and look forward to continuing the collaborative team effort in providing the state-of-the-art planning and efficient administration that our clients have come to know and value.”

Hader graduated with a B.A. summa cum laude from Yale University and with a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School. Hader holds an LL.M. in tax from New York University.
