Kramer Levin client Finjan Inc. won a patent infringement trial against Sophos Inc. on Sept. 21, when a California jury returned a verdict of infringement of eight Finjan patents. The lawsuit was brought by Nasdaq-listed Finjan, a computer and network security company, against Sophos, a cybersecurity firm, over infringed software that identifies new computer viruses. Following a six-hour deliberation in San Francisco, CA, the jury returned a verdict that Sophos infringed all eight Finjan patents at issue. The jury awarded Finjan $15 million in damages.
