Kramer Levin client OneBeacon Insurance Group Ltd. has completed its previously announced merger with Intact Financial Corporation, the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada. Kramer Levin advised OneBeacon on the U.S. insurance and regulatory aspects of the $1.7 billion acquisition. OneBeacon will continue to operate in the United States as OneBeacon Insurance Group, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Intact.
