Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today that Ronald S. Greenberg has been appointed chair of the firm’s growing Real Estate Litigation practice group.

Mr. Greenberg is an accomplished litigator with three decades of experience handling complex business and real estate disputes at both the trial and appellate levels. He has served as a Litigation partner at Kramer Levin since 2005. His relevant litigation experience runs the gamut, from handling commercial foreclosures and construction litigation to resolving a broad range of commercial disputes. In real estate matters, he represents lenders, investors and owner/developers, as well as commercial landlords and tenants.

Mr. Greenberg has argued dozens of appeals, and is an experienced practitioner in the Commercial Division of the New York County Supreme Court. He has advised and represented real estate owners, retail and shopping center operators, public and private companies and commercial lenders in myriad disputes involving sales, acquisitions, financings, leasing and real estate development.

Jay A. Neveloff, chair of Kramer Levin’s Real Estate department, said: “Ron Greenberg is far and away one of our industry’s most talented real estate litigators. In his new role, Ron will immediately accelerate the success of our real estate practice.”

“As New York City’s preeminent real estate practice, Kramer Levin has one of the few dedicated, one-stop shops offering the full range of real estate services in transactional, land use, litigation and restructuring contexts,” said Mr. Greenberg. “I am thrilled to play a larger role in Kramer Levin’s Real Estate practice in the continued service of our clients, together with a talented group of attorneys with whom I’ve been privileged to work for many years.”

Kramer Levin has one of the largest and most sophisticated real estate practices in New York City. In recent years, the practice has undergone a significant expansion through promotions and hires. Daniel Ross Berman was promoted to partner last year, and Andrew Charles joined the firm as a lateral partner in 2015. In addition, several associates have recently joined the firm as lateral associates.

The firm has been involved in many of the city’s major development projects over the past 40 years. Whether developing, repositioning, buying, selling or financing a property; creating a complex condominium structure; or devising a tax-efficient strategy, clients rely on Kramer Levin’s real estate, land use and environmental lawyers to provide results-oriented counsel.
