We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved counsel, mentor and inspiration, Sandy Lindenbaum. From 2002 until his death, Sandy was Counsel to our firm and graced our practice with his brilliance, creativity and dedication. Sandy created the premier land use and zoning law practice in New York City and was advisor to the developers and institutions that shaped New York's skyline. During a lifetime of achievement in the law, he was universally recognized as the City's preeminent land use lawyer and advisor. Sandy's accomplishments and judgment are reflected in a legacy that includes many of the City's iconic buildings. He embraced public service and philanthropy as well as law and served with distinction on the boards of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Association for a Better New York, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Jewish Association for Services for the Aged, Central Synagogue, The Real Estate Board of New York and others. Thank you, Sandy, for teaching us how to achieve our clients' objectives with integrity and become the best of New Yorkers. To Linda, your daughters, grandchildren and extended family, we extend heartfelt sympathy.
