Eileen M. Patt maintains a diverse complex civil litigation practice with a focus on advertising and employment matters. Ms. Patt represents global brands in false advertising disputes under the federal Lanham Act, and in class action litigation pursuant to consumer fraud statutes throughout the country involving products such as Neutrogena sunscreens, the Aveeno line of products, and Mitchum deodorants. Ms. Patt regularly advises clients on a variety of advertising-related issues, including prospective claims, advertising clearance, and claim support. Ms. Patt also represents financial services companies and other employers in connection with employment law matters, and has experience litigating variety of employment law claims in federal and state courts and arbitrations, including discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, contract, restrictive covenant, bonus and deferred compensation, as well as claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law.Ms. Patt’s commercial litigation experience is broad, and includes contract and securities disputes, as well as regulatory investigations. In addition to her work on behalf of clients, Ms. Patt serves on the firm’s Summer Steering Committee and is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law, where she teaches Legal Writing. Ms. Patt was recognized as a Rising Star and a Top Woman Attorney by New York Super Lawyers from 2014 through 2016.
