The Kramer Levin Diversity Committee is comprised of lawyers and operations team members representing the full range of the firm, all of whom share a commitment to attracting, developing and retaining a diverse team. By actively promoting inclusivity, eliminating bias and providing ongoing education, we strive to advance a culture where every employee feels valued and is therefore able to make the strongest possible contributions to the firm’s work.

Through the dedication of its subcommittee members, the Diversity Committee’s work will encompass the following:

  • Focusing on practices: Embed diversity and inclusion (DEI) principles into the “how” of the firm’s work to benefit our people, our clients and the broader community.
  • Empowering employee-led DEI groups: Elevate affinity and resource groups as well as our Women’s Initiative Committee and Women’s Circles, ensuring coordination of efforts across groups and centering each as a potential catalyst for positive change.
  • Advancing year-round programming: Develop heritage month and other cultural celebration programs, the annual firm-wide DEI discussion, and other DEI programs that are reflective of both the firm’s diversity and current events.
  • Working across the firm’s offices: Ensure that all DEI efforts are responsive to the unique needs of a multi-office firm.
  • Communicating the firm’s DEI vision: Report out the DC’s vision, work and needs to the broader Kramer Levin community, both as individual members and through a comprehensive communications strategy.
