• Jay Geiger advises clients on a comprehensive range of tax issues with respect to the federal tax aspects of domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, spinoffs, joint ventures and financings. Jay has represented leading financial services companies throughout his career.

    Prior to joining Kramer Levin, Jay was a managing director in the mergers and acquisitions tax practice of a Big Four professional services firm. After receiving his LL.M. in taxation, Jay served for two years as attorney-adviser to the Hon. Arthur L. Nims III of the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C., and for nearly 18 years as a tax attorney in private practice with a New York-based international law firm.
