Over the Memorial Day weekend, President Trump issued two proclamations that added to the travel ban (detailed on our March 12 client alert) foreign nationals who have been physically present in Brazil in the 14 days prior to seeking entry to the United States. Please see the March 12 client alert for further details on the ban and a list of exemptions.  The second of the two proclamations (issued yesterday) moved up the effective date/time of the ban by two days to 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) today (those aboard flights scheduled to arrive in the United States that depart prior to 11:59 p.m. EDT today will not be subject to the ban).

If you have questions regarding any of the travel bans currently in place, please do not hesitate to contact any of the lawyers in Kramer Levin’s Business Immigration Group.
