On May 25, 2023, Kramer Levin will present a webinar titled “Digital Asset Regulation on Both Sides of the Atlantic.” Lawyers from Kramer Levin’s Paris and Silicon Valley offices will discuss how the U.S. and EU have diverged in their approach to regulating digital assets, including crypto. First, we will discuss how the U.S. continues to regulate primarily through its agencies, where the rules are not always clear or easy to comply with. Next, we will discuss how the groundbreaking Markets in Cryptoassets (MiCA) Regulation legislation sets the stage in the EU for a regulatory framework for crypto. Last, we will look at the prospects for legislation in the U.S. in 2023, examining legislation being considered at the federal and state levels.
