Kramer Levin attorneys have filed briefs on behalf of Everytown for Gun Safety, as well as emergency physicians and trauma surgeons who treated victims of the Aurora, Columbine, Sandy Hook and San Bernardino mass shootings in support of the claims of the families of the Sandy Hook victims against the maker and sellers of the AR-15 assault rifle.  We have provided advice to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence on  town ordinances restricting gun stores.  Litigation partner Michael J. Dell helped to found and is a Director of the American Foundation for Firearm Injury Reduction in Medicine (AFFIRM), which aims to raise money to fund research to prevent gun injuries and deaths. AFFIRM has been endorsed by the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Emergency Physicians and other medical groups.

After Texas imposed harsh restrictions on abortion providers, Kramer Levin attorneys filed an amicus brief on behalf of ten women who chose to have an abortion, urging the Supreme Court to reject Texas’s clinic-shutdown law.
