Kramer Levin Client Finjan Enters into Patent Licensing Agreement with Sophos
Kramer Levin client Finjan Inc. has agreed to a patent licensing deal with Sophos Ltd.. The deal gives Sophos a license to Finjan's patent portfolio and cross-licenses Finjan Mobile Inc. and Sophos' patents for mobile applications, and settles all claims.
The agreement follows a September 2016, $15 million verdict in favor of Finjan, in which a jury found Sophos had infringed on eight Finjan patents. A U.S. District court judge recently dismissed Sophos’ motion for a new trial.
The Finjan team included Intellectual Property partners Paul J. Andre, Lisa Kobialka and James Hannah, and associates Benu Mehra Wells, Hannah Lee, Michael H. Lee, Kristopher B. Kastens, Christina Martinez, Yuridia Caire, Aakash Jariwala, Shannon H. Hedvat, Austin Manes and Stephanie Nguyen.
