In recent years, our diversity and pro bono efforts have earned considerable recognition:

  • In Vault’s 2024 Law Firm Rankings, Kramer Levin was ranked in the Vault Law 100, and was named the #1 Best Summer Programs for Attorney Interactions, #2 Best Summer Associate Programs, #2 Best Summer Programs for Career Development, as well as the #5 firm for Pro Bono.
  • Kramer Levin ranked third in The American Lawyer’s 2022 Summer Associate Survey. Summer associates awarded the firm the highest possible score (5.0) in a dozen categories. 
  • The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance awarded Kramer Levin the Tipping the Scales award, recognizing firms that have 50% or more women in their 2020 new partner class, as identified in the Alliance’s 2020 New Partner Report.
  • Kramer Levin’s unique culture is recognized in the annual Chambers Associate survey, including a 2021 top ten ranking for Pro Bono, and top marks for Quality of Life and Associate Satisfaction and Career Development.
  • Yale Law Women’s 15th annual Top Firms for Gender Equity & Family Friendliness Report recognized Kramer Levin as a top firm for promotion practices and advancement for part-time attorneys.
  • Kramer Levin ranked first overall in the American Lawyer 2019 Summer Associate Survey, earning a perfect score across all areas of summer associate satisfaction with the program. The firm ranked second in the 2018 survey.
  • Kramer Levin ranked among the leading firms in the U.S. in The American Lawyer 2019 Midlevel Associates Survey, placing 22nd overall. 
  • In Vault’s 2019 Law Firm Rankings, Kramer Levin was named a Top 10 Best Law Firm for Pro Bono. The firm also named a Top 15 Best Law Firms for Restructuring/Bankruptcy and in the Top 25 for LGBT Diversity.
  • In the 2017 and 2018 Corporate Equality Index, Kramer Levin received a top rating of 100% and the distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
  • Kramer Levin is part of an alliance of 44 law firms piloting the ideas from the Inaugural Diversity Lab hosted Women in Law Hackathon.   The firm is continuing the work of this initiative into 2018 with a pilot program for Women in Leadership.
  • Kramer Levin received the Pro Bono Leadership Award, Legal Services NYC consecutively for the last 4 years (2014-2017).
  • The firm has been profiled in 2017 as One of 2016’s 17 Pro Bono Matters that Big Law Championed for its’ work on  Touro Synagogue by The American Lawyer.
  • Kramer Levin received the Pro Bono Award for Outstanding Advocacy in Championing the Rights of the Accused, by the Legal Aid Society in 2016.
